Future Goals

	Phase V To conduct scientific research in the areas of pain and symptom management and other aspects of pediatric palliative care, in collaboration with recognized palliative care specialists.
	Phase VI To develop named Circle of Life Children’s Centers with designated beds in key regional hospitals to provide in-patient supportive comfort care services close to home for children with difficult to manage pain and episodic symptoms, and, if needed, compassionate end-of-life care for children unable to be cared for at home in their final weeks and days of life.
	Phase VII To develop a free-standing, homelike Circle of Life facility, centrally located in the community, providing both inpatient and outpatient center of excellence programs including responsive and compassionate culturally sensitive end-of-life and respite care. All COLCC services and programs would be housed in one facility, providing ease of access for families and multiple opportunities for volunteer support.
